The bicycles
are up on blocks
Not on cobbles
nor chasing clocks
No peloton
should dare go on
with this virus

Your mention of Peleton brings up an interesting mental image of the cross-country race being conducted on identically programmed stationary bicycles sent to mimic the challenges of the terrain.

Thanks, BF! They actually have those challenges. You don’t the the shoulder to shoulder feel or in tight strategy, but nor do you get the large crashes.

I was just reading this week that the Tour of Flanders was done last Sunday as an erace with the bicycles on rollers. And the Tour de Suisse is going to be done as an erace on Zwift stationary bikes. They streamed the Flanders race and the Suisse one will be too. Both races have pro riders competing.
