It’s All Home School

The silence screamed
through empty halls
as network streams
captured roll-calls
Classes have changed
to be arranged
and seen onscreen

If I had been thinking I would have submitted this poem to the “Sharing Our Truths” collection at the Brave & Reckless blog, where Christine is collecting and posting poems about life during the pandemic. If you haven’t been reading them, they, like everything else on the Brave & Reckless site, are well worth the visit.

    1. I don’t know how your school year runs but in the US they usually go from August/September to end in May or June. The school districts in each state are fairly independent, as are the colleges and universities. So it’s a real mixup as to how its going to play out, especially for those expecting to graduate this year.

  1. Well said! The teachers going the extra mile to keep teaching their students online deserve our thanks and our praise, as well as do all those making sure students have equipment for that teaching.
