Tidying Up

That crafty Stine
says my blog’s neat
which makes me preen
and feel upbeat
It’s nice to know
when someone so
cares to share you

Thank you Christine Bialczak, who’s wonderful blog Stine Writing is enjoyable on several levels, for nominating me for the Real Neat Blog Award! Please go read her blog and enjoy the poetry, positivity, and the connectivity her site presents!

The award rules are:

  1. Put the award logo on your blog.
  2. Answer 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
  3. Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blogs.
  4. Nominate any number of bloggers you like, linking to their blogs; and asking them seven questions.
  5. Let them know you nominated them (by commenting on their blog etc.)

My seven answers are:

  1. What do you like to read about the most on other blogs?
    • Poetry or short posts that make me think and/or smile.
  2. What subjects do you completely avoid when you see a blog post?
    • Self-help, beauty tips, travel tips, health tips, blogging tips.
  3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go (after COVID-19 is gone!)
    • Cascadia. The Pacific Northwest looks like it is a beautiful place to visit.
  4. If you could talk to one historical figure no longer living who would it be and why
    • Buckminster Fuller, because he was a very broad thinking person.
  5. What is your favorite time of day?
    • Just before going to bed, when it’s quiet.
  6. What is your favorite pastime activity?
    • Reading
  7. If you could have any animal as a pet, what would choose and where would you keep it
    • Nothing exotic. A cat. Preferably two, so they have company because they aren’t as self-reliant as some people think, and in the house.

My questions: I figured I’d put them first so the nominees can decide if they want to answer them.

  1. Do you have a specific writing time, or just whenever the mood hits you?
  2. Is what you write  mostly based on reality, or mostly made up?
  3. If you could make a living writing poetry, would you want to?
  4. Do you prefer to write rhyming or non-rhyming poetry, or just whatever comes out when you write?
  5. Did you read poetry before you started writing poetry?
  6. Would you buy a book of poetry to read now?
  7. Do you prefer to write with a pen and paper, computer keyboard, phone, or something else (what)?

Nominations: For those I nominate, and it’s hard to limit my selections, whether you choose to participate or not is up to you and won’t stop me from reading what you write. But it is my way of letting people know I think you have a blog worth reading.

  1. Congrats! And, nice ha’sonnet 🙂 I agree with your answer to question 2. DO visit the Pac NW–it’s called “God’s Country” for a reason 🙂 I live in the Puget Sound area of WA–moved here in 1967, and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.
