Sometimes, solitude is the thing you choose; other times it chooses you.

How much we humans have silently in common. I have often thought that loneliness is the human common denominator. Learning to live with loneliness is a difficult but important lesson to learn, along with learning to be social–paradoxical. Both challenges!

Thank you very much! I do much better with the solitude than social settings. I have a person working on my team who left to work from home but came back because he needed the social side. But I don’t feel the loneliness in the solitude, just quiet and less pressure, but I feel alone in crowds. He felt the pressure of not being able to share even though he was home with his wife and worked via many video and teleconferences. I agree that loneliness can be difficult and challenging both ways.

Oh wow…this is really good–I’m wondering if it’s truth or fiction, as I can relate to it well.

Thank you very much! As with anything someone writes there is some truth behind it. In this case, though, the pain is in the others who have to put ip with me. 🙂
