The Orange File

I’ve tried and failed
so many times
And sometimes wailed
a lack of rhymes
For then they sit
Unfinished bits
To remind me

Even with all the unfinished bits sitting there reminding me of my challenges, I have still managed to post over two hundred of the silly little poems in the two years (today!) that I’ve been posting. And people still read them! Thank you all!

Oh, and why an Orange file? Well, “There ain’t no rhyme for oranges!” 😄 H.R. Pufnstuf and Witchiepoo courtesy of Sid and Marty Krofft.

    1. Thank you very much! I think the accomplishment is more the sticking with this for two years and still enjoying it than the poems. I can and do write a lot of these, but I don’t know how some of you poets post so many good poems as often as you do. 🙂

    1. Thank you very much! I suppose most creative people have their scrapbooks or sketchbooks or notebooks for of incomplete thoughts and ideas. I thought once of creating a lines exchange, where people could put out the lines they couldn’t do anything with, like “antimatter antimacassar,” for anyone who wants to try, and they can see if someone else’s cast-off inspires them. But that would be too much work. 🙂
