It’s spring for you,
but way down here
while skies are blue
the winter’s near.
But that’s just fine,
I know in time,
the earth will turn.

Thank you! Very nice, Kate!
In the Middle
The seasons’ change –
up here, down there –
are rearranged
depending where
your tilt occurs
though there are blurs
in between these

Excellent!
Obliquity, obliquity,
there’s nothing like obliquity.
It tilts us here, it tilts you there,
through seasons loathed and dear.
But in the middle, though you look,
you’ll look in vain, I fear,
for in between, equator-near,
obliquity’s not there!
(with apologies to Eliot)

Your ha’ sonnets are delightful and fun. This one really captured the lighthearted mirth of early spring.

Thank you! The early flowers are a fun reminder that change is coming! Even if the snowdrops had to struggle through being buried in snow for a couple days. 🙂

Thank you! I love the hope and beauty the first flowers of spring bring with them. They seem so whimsical against the barren winter washed ground.
