My husband and I talk about this idea so often, that what consider ‘true’ is based on opinions we have due to our circumstances, upbringing and our genetic makeup. It was nice to see someone else understand this concept because most people seem to think there is One Truth.

“There are three sides to every story. Mine, yours and the truth.” – Joseph Massino. The only certainty I think is mathematics. Two plus two always equals four (except is using a bad batch of Intel chips way back when 😁). But yes, nature and nurture do bias you and what you believe as truth. Unfortunately for some it makes them think it is the One Truth. I watched a British political comedy (either “Yes, Minister” or “Yes, Prime Minister”) in which one of the main characters was demonstrating to another on how you ask a series of questions can influence the way it is answered to help get the answer you want. While it was funny, it was also a bit scary to think about. Thanks, LuAnne!

Thank you, Zelda! We should be open to learning and never think we know it all.
