Hither and Yon

ha'sonnet, Humor, Poetry, Prompt, short form, Thoughts 
I started true,
got quickly bored
missing my cue,
my mind unmoored.
In my downfall
my thoughts were all
willy-nilly.

I happened to see the weekly prompt “willy-nilly” at the “Moonwashed Musings”site and realized it was perfect line seven for a ha’sonnet, and this is what it inspired. If you go to the site I’m sure you will find a lot of wonderful takes on the prompt based on the few I’ve had time to read in my feed.

    1. Thanks, Eugenia! I haven’t had the time to spend reading lately and just was fortunate to see this prompt. As I said, when I saw “willy-nilly” it popped as a perfect last line for one of my poems. 😄 Enjoy!
