At the Finish

I crossed the line
We laughed a bit
and things seemed fine
But I crossed it
You set the pace
during the race
and I charged by

And I suspect
it changed that day
for in effect
you went away
I shouldn’t whine
the fault’s all mine
Each bit of it

    1. Thanks, Stephen. I’m trying to figure out why this has been going on since mid-April, not showing the block that I format as verse, like I’ve been doing since I started the site. Until I can get this sorted out there are two workarounds to read the poem content. The first is that there is a part of the message that does go through (it is just a paragraph block, not a verse block) starting with “Published advertising free at” and it has a link to the blog site. The other is if you start a reply to the email it puts the whole message, poem included, in the body of the reply, and then you can delete the reply after reading rather than send in g it. Not great, but it works.
