The Morning Fog

I woke up late
from a nightmare
not sure my fate
but know I’ll fare
much better than
when the Sandman
slapped me silly

When Night Meets Day

“A good evening,”
said Mr. Night,
“is your leaving.
A true delight!”
“Then I shan’t stay,”
said Mr. Day,
“to doom your gloom.”

Clearing the Air

Let there be storms
to thrash the night
Tearing down norms
that hold us tight
Tomorrow morn
we’ll be reborn
happy and free
