Clearing the Air

Let there be storms
to thrash the night
Tearing down norms
that hold us tight
Tomorrow morn
we’ll be reborn
happy and free

Response written for the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge of 3 March 2020 “Let there be storms” at Go Dog Go Café.

The Lamplighters

As darkness raced
across the land
blue skies replaced
by a black band
the stars awoke
being bespoke
to light the night

Future Insights

What dreaming brings
and what’s between
I’ll show me things
I haven’t seen
My knowledge grows
as each day flows
in my mind’s eye
