Sky Fully Bloomed

I smiled at the
Super Pink Moon
You winked at me
and made me swoon
Love at first sight
this cool Spring night
when some blossom

The anthology of poetry “The Sound of Brilliance” has been published and is available! Susi Bocks created this anthology from poems that were part of the “The Short of It” series she created and hosts on her site “I Write Her“. I am happy 😁 🎉 to say there are three ha’sonnets of mine – “Sweet Little Lies,” “Out of Context,” and “We Can’t Go Back” – are included among the many wonderful poems by great poets in the collection!
It is available in both paperback (here) and eBook (here) version on Amazon.

The Fifteenth Day

The guard had changed
The sky fallen
Hopes rearranged
in a tailspin
Their mountain fast
crumbled at last
and sun grip done

For those wondering what this poem is about, on the fifteenth stage of Le Tour de France 2020, Egan Bernal, the 2019 TdF winner, of Team Ineos Grenadiers (formerly Team Ineos and Team Sky), a young Columbian rider who is a natural in the mountains, was left behind on a mountain stage where it was predicted he would take the lead and yellow jersey of the race. His team has always been good in the mountains, and riders for the team won seven of the last eight TdFs. It will now take an enormous effort for Team Ineos Grenadiers to win the lead from Team Jumbo Visma.
