the author hit
a troubling bit
of wall and stalled

He’d thought it through
It had seemed straight
But now he knew
it didn’t rate
the mind-bending
great big ending
the man had planned

Mired in woe
feeling undone
he left it. So
everyone
has to pretend
this is the end
....
